The LORCH Company was founded in 1919 by Mr. and Mrs. Lorch. It specialized in the repair of welding and cutting equipment and cylinder pressure reducers for oxygen and other gases. In 1938, the company expanded its activities to include the manufacture of regulators for neutral gases and air. Starting in 1956, the product line was widened to include such fittings as needle valves, shut-off valves, and branch valves. 1960 marked the beginning of the manufacture of safety valves and other compressed-air products (e.g., filters, regulators, filter pressure reducers, oil sprayers, and maintenance units). Since 2006, the experts at LORCH have focused exclusively on the development and in-house manufacture of industrial safety valves as well as the sale of safety valves for industrial applications.
Since April 1, 2013, the division for safety valves has belonged to the HEROSE company group.
